Thanks to everyone who came along to our Pitmen Painters film night in October. It was a full house and many of you hung around after the film to have their photo taken with Jon Blair's Oscar, BAFTA and Emmy awards. We raised nearly £150 for the foodbank in Berwick which is brilliant. Thanks to everyone who donated, and also to Jon for bringing his awards along and for introducing his film.
Next month's film night is on Wednesday 13th November when we're showing SUNFLOWERS IN THE RAIN which is a new documentary feature which shows how ordinary Ukrainians are doing extraordinary things in their war effort against the Russian invasion. Its a moving, sometimes harrowing but overwhelmingly positive film which covers the human side of the war that never makes the TV news.
